Psychotherapy & Yoga

Through my professional career as a psychotherapist on the one hand and my many years of yoga practice on the other, I arrived at the conviction that psychotherapy and yoga can complement and inspire each other in a very valuable way. Over the last years, there was also a lot of movement in this research field of psychological and medical science. It is no longer uncommon for universities around the world to examine the psychological impact of yoga with the help of scientific measures and standards. The data supporting the helpful application of yoga as a complement to psychotherapy continues to grow.

Drawing on my education in both fields, I offer you, to complement my yoga classes with psychotherapeutic content if you so desire. I likewise offer to complement my psychotherapeutic work with content taken from yoga. It is a matter of course for me and my work that all psychotherapeutic content is based on evidence. This means, that only interventions are used, which are based on scientific research as well as that every psychotherapy is carried out in the “Richtlinienverfahren” behavioral-therapy. This applies to the contents of yoga insofar as they have already been scientifically investigated.
